The IPMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) is a key technology for all IP networks delivering internet protocol multimedia services. IPMS (also called IMS) is the essential technology for LTE core networks.Research for US patent applications published before May 1, 2009 shows that the IPMS technology got attention among telecommunication technology innovators starting from year 2004. It is expected that the IPMS innovation activities will be keep increasing over the next several years.
